When to buy the pram? | my junior®

With your baby growing under your heart, many thoughts are now coming to you. Nine months may seem long, but there is also a lot to do and the time will probably pass more quickly than you think. You are considering when you want to do what, how you want to set up the future nursery, and what needs to be bought – a particularly important task: buying a pram.

When should I start buying baby things?

Of course, you can buy the first baby things straight after the positive test. But don’t stress yourself and approach the matter in a relaxed way. You still have plenty of time to calmly think about when you want to buy the first baby items and, most importantly: which ones.

Every mum is different – however, most start to slowly think about baby things from around the 12th or 13th week of pregnancy. We recommend that you sit down quietly with your loved one and make a little list of everything your baby will need. Perhaps you have some mums and dads among your friends, or your parents have kept some things from your own childhood.

5th - 6th month: Pushchair, car seat/ infant carrier
6th – 7th month: Furniture for the baby’s room (cot, cradle, changing table and more)
7th month: Baby accessories (bottles, clothing, breast pump, wet wipes, nappy bin, etc.)

In which month should you buy the pram?

You shouldn't wait too long when it comes to the pram. Depending on the brand and model, delivery times can sometimes be a few weeks or even months. Find out in advance what the delivery times are for your desired pram. We recommend buying the pram around the 6th month of pregnancy.
