Dr. Anna Weiss

Expertise: Paediatrician and travel medicine specialist

Website: www.drannaweiss.de

Instagram: @dr.annaweiss

After completing my medical studies in Munich, I have worked as a paediatrician in the emergency department, on wards in various specialities, and in the neonatal intensive care unit since 2018. In 2023, I obtained an additional qualification in travel medicine and have since been advising travel-loving parents online.

What I particularly love about my profession is the variety and working with the little patients – you get so much back in return. Since becoming a mum to two wonderful children myself, I can empathise even better with the parents of my patients.

Many parents, especially when it comes to (long-distance) travel, feel very unsure, and I want to encourage them by providing them with the necessary knowledge. After all, the shared memories are priceless and it is so worthwhile to travel as a family.

Lena Simon

Expertise: Midwife specialising in postnatal care, antenatal classes, postnatal exercise and taping

Instagram: @hebamme.lenasimon

I completed my training from 2014 to 2017 in Leipzig and then moved back to my hometown. Since September 2017, I have been working at the hospital in my hometown. Since the beginning of this year, I have also been working as a self-employed midwife on the side.

I have been fascinated by the diverse ways of working from the very beginning. You can decide for yourself how and where you work. It is possible to support women from their desire to have children right through to the end of the breastfeeding period. There are so many opportunities for further training and learning new things. Every day, I am grateful anew to be able to support families so closely and to be by their side during very emotional moments.

In the coming years, I would like to do acupuncture training and am also interested in training as a babywearing or breastfeeding consultant. My little dream would be to have my own midwifery practice. My goal is to support women competently, lovingly, and in an empowering way.

Marie Comia

Expertise: HypnoBirthing Coach

Instagram: @hypnobirthing.coach.marie

I have been a HypnoBirthing coach since 2017 and have now prepared over 300 couples for childbirth, both online and offline.

It was during my first pregnancy that I discovered HypnoBirthing. As many women are fearful, uncertain, and full of anxiety about giving birth, my goal is to prepare expectant parents for their birth so that they can approach it feeling informed, confident, and free of fear.

Kristina Hoesl

Expertise: Breastfeeding Consultant

Website: https://www.stillberatungkristinahoesl.de/

Instagram: @stillberatung.kristinahoesl

I completed my training as a certified breastfeeding consultant during my parental leave in 2024 at Impulse E.V. and have thus started a small business. I currently offer online breastfeeding preparation workshops, individual consultations, and support with weaning. Soon, I will be launching a heartfelt project: the Mummy Breastfeeding Club, where I will organise a breastfeeding meet-up with an exclusive WhatsApp group in our local area (but only after my maternity break ;))

The decision to become a breastfeeding counsellor arose from my own deep personal experience and the desire to support other families on their journey. Through my own breastfeeding relationship with my son, which had many ups and downs, I realised how often mothers and families are faced with uncertainties and difficulties when it comes to breastfeeding.

It is a matter truly close to my heart to accompany families on their breastfeeding journey, to provide them with emotional support, and to share my professional expertise. The shortage of skilled staff in hospitals and among midwives often leads to inadequate care, and this is exactly where I want to make a difference and do my part to help close this gap.

I strive to provide comprehensive and empathetic support, offering families the assistance they need to enjoy a wonderful breastfeeding relationship.

Sandra Singrin

Expertise: Psychologist and consultant for baby and toddler sleep

Website: www.schlummerloewe.de

Instagram: @Schlummerloewe

Completed further training as a systemic, solution-oriented coach. Afterwards, I worked as a consultant and trainer in a values-based, sustainable management consultancy. In 2023 – during my parental leave with my second child – I completed a certified course in baby and toddler sleep and have since been supporting tired parents both in person and online on their journey to restful nights for the whole family – in a way that is attachment-based, needs-oriented, and without letting babies cry it out (sleep training).

As a mum of two very challenging sleepers just 19 months apart, the topic of sleep has regularly pushed us to our limits. From personal experience, I know the distress and desperation that come with months of sleep deprivation and battles over falling asleep and staying asleep. But as a psychologist and scientist, I also see very clearly how critical and developmentally significant the topics of sleep and attachment are for our babies.

From suffering to passion, I now advocate for this sensitive and complex subject. Because I have noticed: there is a flood of tips in both the real and virtual world. And often there are many “opinions” but little truly well-founded knowledge. It is possible to create a relieving, restful sleep situation for ourselves and our children without overwhelming them or damaging the bond. Our children need our special protection. And at the same time, we can also trust them with a little more. After all, we as parents are the foundation of the family, and it is important that we take care of ourselves. In my work, I consider the needs of everyone in the family. It is a heartfelt concern of mine to support families on their way to a restful sleep situation and a new quality of life.

Tina von Jakubowski

Expertise: Studio owner, E-500 RYT yoga teacher, head of training, author

Website: https://yogaindividual.com/

Instagram: @yogaindividual

I have been working as a yoga teacher since 2013. Ten years ago, I made the decision not to do anything else professionally and to fully commit myself to this path. In 2017, I founded the Yoga Individual Studio in Aachen together with my husband.

I have known yoga since my childhood and it has been part of my daily life since puberty. When you practise this lifestyle so intensely, the step towards becoming a professional yoga teacher is not a big one. Back then, just as now, it felt like a very meaningful occupation. Also, being a yoga teacher is so varied. Sometimes I work with people in a very physical and sporty way, on other days the inner world is the focus, and on many weekends throughout the year I train yoga teachers. As soon as I start teaching, I am completely in the moment and love what I do.

Nadine Wiedmann

Expertise: Midwife (Specialising in pregnancy, postnatal period & breastfeeding) Training to become a lactation consultant, spiritual life coach, baby sleep consultant, Founder of Panta Rhei Family

It has now been over a decade since I qualified as a midwife – I completed my exams in Marburg in 2011. Afterwards, I worked for four years in a clinic in my home region, assisting births in the delivery suite and supporting new parents during the postnatal period.

In 2014, an exciting change came about: A friend from Bonn asked me if I would like to work with her in out-of-hospital maternity care and provide holistic support for families. What was initially planned as a year has now turned into eleven years full of passion for my profession. Today, I work in a midwifery practice in Bonn, supporting couples throughout pregnancy, the postnatal period, and their child’s first year of life.

One of the biggest challenges for new mums is breastfeeding – which is why I have specialised in exactly that. I prepare expectant parents for breastfeeding during pregnancy and, in order to reach even more pregnant women, have developed an online course and a unique workbook. I am currently completing training to become a breastfeeding and lactation consultant, having already successfully qualified as a baby sleep consultant and life coach last year. Because I am convinced: a positive mindset, a good breastfeeding relationship and restful baby sleep are key factors in supporting parents with a touch of ease.

My fascination with this profession began early on: When I was ten years old, my mum became pregnant, and I was able to experience first-hand how a family’s life changes when a new member arrives. I was especially impressed by what the female body is capable of during pregnancy and beyond – it was simply incredible.

Then, two years later, when my sisters were born and once again a midwife was by our side, I realised: everything is in flux, but the midwife remains a constant anchor during this special time. That touched me deeply. I knew: this is not just a profession that fascinates me – this is my calling.

I took every opportunity to learn more about the profession, completed placements in the delivery room and accompanied self-employed midwives. It quickly became clear to me: this is exactly what I want to do.

Today – after many years in this wonderful profession – my enthusiasm is undiminished. It is a gift to accompany couples on their journey into parenthood, to watch their development, and to support them during this unique time. The closeness you build as a midwife with a family, the magic of a new life – all of this moves me time and again. And that is exactly what makes this profession my absolute dream job. I apply all my expertise in my own company, Panta Rhei Family, where I develop products to support expectant mothers during this precious time.

During my first pregnancy in 2022, I delved deeply into the topic of parental allowance myself. Since 2024, I have also been helping other expectant mums to get the most out of their parental allowance and to plan their parental leave in the best possible way.

Katharina Grüterich

Expertise: Social pedagogue specialising in family counselling

Website: www.familienberatung360grad.com/

My main profession, for the past 15 years, has been in social pedagogy, where I work as a systemic family therapist and trauma specialist advisor in outpatient child and youth services.

Through my training as a systemic family therapist and trauma specialist advisor, I have developed a holistic perspective of you and your environment, your family. In my work, I believe that no behaviour can be understood or changed without considering the family and social environment.

For me, resources and competencies are paramount. In my counselling as well, I want to focus on strengths and resources—whatever the reason that brings you to me. Whether it’s topics concerning young children, parenting, or family—it's always about change. Taking this path of change. I would like to support you on this journey.

With the birth of my son came sleep deprivation, restless nights, and a feeling of helplessness—and this over a long period of time. It became clear: as a mum without a village, you really are left a bit stranded when things don’t go the way they do in the storybooks. That’s why, two years later, I decided to set off on my journey and founded my Family Counselling 360°. To support and help parents when you often can’t see the wood for the trees. Whether it’s baby sleep or toddler issues, the autonomy phase or whatever it is that concerns you as a family.
