How does the pregnancy calculator work?

Our pregnancy calculator is flexible and adapts individually to you and your needs. You can provide the following information:

the first day of your last period

• the day of ovulation or conception

• the calculated due date (if your doctor has already given it to you)

• the average length of your cycle

Based on your entries, the calculator reliably determines the current week of pregnancy and your expected due date. This way, you can always keep track of which stage your little one is currently developing in.

An example:

If you enter 10th March as the first day of your last period and a cycle length of 30 days, our pregnancy calculator will determine your expected due date. Alternatively, you can also enter the day of ovulation – particularly helpful if you track your cycle closely. Or you can use the due date given by your doctor and instantly find out which week of pregnancy you are in.

How is the week of pregnancy calculated?

Pregnancy is officially calculated from the first day of your last period. From that point onwards, the pregnancy weeks are counted – a total of around 40 weeks or 280 days. As the exact moment of conception often cannot be determined precisely, the calculation is usually based on the start of your cycle. By providing your individual cycle length or the date of ovulation, the result becomes even more accurate.

How accurate is the pregnancy calculator?

Our pregnancy calculator provides you with a very reliable guide. Of course, every pregnancy is unique. Factors such as cycle length or ovulation timing can vary. At your first ultrasound, your doctor will adjust your due date again. Until then, our calculator will help you keep track of your little one’s development and prepare for the weeks ahead.
