Aachen, 23 November 2022 – Ergonomics for parents and child: After assessment by the independent examination board of the Institute for Health and Ergonomics (IGR e.V.), the my junior PICO² buggy model receives the “ergonomic product” seal of approval.

The inspection is carried out in several areas. One part of the inspection is the technical composition of the product. In addition, the IGR pays attention to e.V. During tests involving people, the focus is on usability and ergonomics. The testers, consisting of doctors, physiotherapists, scientists, and other specialists, pay particular attention to how the product adapts to the user: during the tests, the behaviour of the test subjects in relation to their interaction with the product is assessed. In another testing situation, experts evaluate the degree to which the buggy is adapted to the physical characteristics and needs of the users.

“We thought long and hard about the functions of the PICO² and exchanged ideas with our my junior parents, midwives, engineers, and other experts in the baby sector. Ergonomics, and above all the back-friendly features for parents and child, were particularly important to us. We placed a special focus on the seating position in the buggy, as we have observed that children often adopt an unhealthy posture in many buggy models,” confirms Nokielski. “That’s why we are especially pleased that the PICO² has now been recognised by the IGR… e.V. is certified as an ergonomic product.”

The child is comfortable in the PICO²: thanks to the seat height, they are close to their parents, and the especially upright sitting position prevents slumping and thus promotes healthy posture. Furthermore, the well-padded seat can easily be converted into a 180-degree lying surface. These features encourage correct sitting posture, which is crucial for the child’s development.

Parents particularly appreciate the AutoFold™ function: with just one hand movement, the PICO² can be folded and unfolded completely automatically. When folded, it not only fits into any car boot, but is also approved as hand luggage on aeroplanes by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Thanks to its light weight, the buggy can be conveniently carried with one of the three carrying options: either over the shoulder, like a suitcase, or pulled along as a trolley. The four-way suspension and air chamber tyres also guarantee a comfortable walk – whether in the city or in nature. These features not only make everyday life easier for parents, but also turn travelling and other little adventures into a stress-free experience.

About my junior

The journey of my junior began in 2015 when Managing Director and father Kamil Nokielski set out to find the perfect pushchair himself. He was dissatisfied with the selection available at the time and described the search for the perfect pushchair as a “pushchair jungle”. While still at university, he founded my junior with the aim of developing a product that would leave nothing to be desired for expectant parents searching for a pushchair.
