Aachen, 4 November 2022 – Responsibility for the world of tomorrow: my junior is actively committed to reducing the CO2 footprint for future generations. “We are very pleased to have been recognised by ClimatePartner as a climate-neutral company and in doing so to be making an important contribution to climate protection,” says Kamil Nokielski, Managing Director of my junior.

The award is being presented to my junior for its main location in Langerwehe as well as for the flagship store in Aachen. In collaboration with ClimatePartner, my junior calculated its "Corporate Carbon Footprint", that is, the company’s CO2 footprint: from heating and energy consumption to employees’ commuting, business trips, and office supplies. my junior is constantly working to continuously reduce all greenhouse gas emissions and offsets the remaining emissions by supporting certified climate protection projects. The company can particularly reduce its CO2 footprint through self-generated solar power and environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The Aachen flagship store holds a special position: it is located directly above the Aachen hot springs and therefore has a very low consumption of district heating.

My junior consistently offsets the remaining emissions by supporting a combined climate protection project from the ClimatePartner portfolio. In Brazil, the company promotes a project in the Amazon region dedicated to preserving the tree population. In addition, the company is involved in a project in Colombia that is committed to providing social benefits for the indigenous population. Furthermore, for every tonne of CO2 offset, one tree is planted in Germany through this commitment.

Thus, my junior also contributes to achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals, such as combating poverty or improving living conditions in emerging and developing countries. In addition to avoiding and reducing greenhouse gases, offsetting is an important step towards holistic climate protection. About my junior

The journey of my junior began in 2015 when Managing Director and father Kamil Nokielski set out to find the perfect pushchair himself. He was dissatisfied with the selection available at the time and described the search for the perfect pushchair as a “pushchair jungle”. While still at university, he founded my junior with the aim of developing a product that would leave nothing to be desired for expectant parents searching for a pushchair. The range now includes five different pushchair models and one buggy model. In addition to pushchairs, my junior offers a wide variety of accessories for everyday life with a baby. The product range is regularly expanded and optimised together with parents and pushchair experts according to customers’ wishes. my junior pushchairs are predominantly produced in Europe and are already available worldwide.
